Things Engraved ran a counter at Devonshire Mall on Howard Avenue. It closed in January 2020, the same week the chain shut all 73 of its Canadian stores. A "Personally Yours" listing still shows up in a few old directories at the same address — but that was another Things Engraved store banner, not a separate business, and it closed with the rest of the chain. Devonshire Mall's current directory doesn't list either name.
So where does that leave someone in Windsor who wants something engraved in 2026? Two different questions, two different answers: are you bringing in an item you already own, or are you buying a finished engraved gift?
The short answer.
Things Engraved closed its Devonshire Mall location in January 2020, and the "Personally Yours" banner that briefly ran alongside it closed with the rest of the chain. R & N Creations, an independent leather-goods shop at Devonshire Mall, now handles custom engraving on items you bring in. For a finished engraved steel tumbler or bottle, order direct from a maker — we engrave to order in our Calgary workshop and ship to Windsor in 1–3 business days, engraving included.
Your three options in Windsor, compared
| Option | Best for | The catch |
|---|---|---|
| Independent local shop (R & N Creations, Devonshire Mall) | Leather goods, belt buckles, dog tags, engraving on items you bring in | A leather-goods counter first, engraving second — call ahead with the exact item |
| Trophy specialists (The Trophy Boys, Windsor Engraving & Awards) | Trophies, plaques, awards, medals | Trophy-shop equipment; not set up for a double-wall insulated bottle |
| Order direct from a maker | Finished engraved steel tumblers, bottles, and mugs, shipped to your door | Not same-day: made to order, ships in 1–3 days |
If you're engraving something you already own
R & N Creations sells leather belts, wallets, dog tags, and money clips at Devonshire Mall — and offers custom engraving alongside it. It's a real, independent shop, not a leftover Things Engraved banner, and it's still listed as active at the mall today. Steel tumblers aren't the advertised specialty, so call first with the exact item — a laser set up for a leather wallet or a dog tag isn't automatically calibrated for a vacuum-insulated bottle wall.
If you're buying an engraved gift
This is the hole the mall counter used to fill. Things Engraved sold the item and the engraving together — pick a flask, add a name, walk out with a finished gift. What's left in Windsor is a leather-goods counter built around bring-your-own items and trophy shops built around awards, not a browse-and-buy shelf of finished tumblers and bottles.
We took the direct route instead. LAMOSE makes the tumblers and bottles ourselves and engraves every order in our Calgary workshop: the laser cuts through the powder coat into bare steel, so a name can't fade, peel, or wash off. Engraving is included, not an add-on. Your order is made when you place it and ships to Windsor in 1–3 business days. 4.89 stars across 7,796 Etsy reviews.
Two places to start:
- Grouse 16 oz tumbler, $35. Double-wall 18/8 stainless steel, 6 hours hot, 12 hours cold, wide-mouth flip lid. The everyday cup people keep on their desk.
- Robson 21 oz bottle, $40. 12 hours hot, 24 hours cold, one-hand sport cap. Still cold on the drive across the bridge.
See the Grouse — or add a name, a date, or coordinates to any piece and it ships engraved.
What about bulk orders in Windsor?
Windsor sits at about 229,660 people at the last census, Ontario's southernmost major city and the one directly across the river from Detroit. The city's manufacturing base isn't a memory here — it's the story right now: Stellantis brought a third shift back to its Windsor Assembly Plant in February 2026, adding roughly 1,000 jobs and pushing the plant's workforce toward 6,000, while the NextStar Energy battery plant has hired over 1,300 people so far with more to come. A city hiring at that pace understands a piece that's built to last — a welcome kit for someone's first week on the line, a client thank-you that isn't forgettable, a team gift that survives the drive home. The workshop doesn't change, only the name on each piece does. Tell us about your project and we'll reply within one business day.
Frequently asked questions
Is Things Engraved still open in Windsor?
No. Things Engraved closed its Devonshire Mall location in January 2020, part of the chain's 73-store national shutdown. A "Personally Yours" listing still appears in a few old directories at the same address, but that was another Things Engraved store banner, not a separate business — it closed with the rest of the chain.
Where can I get engraving done on an item I already own in Windsor?
R & N Creations, an independent leather-goods shop at Devonshire Mall, offers custom engraving on items you bring in. Call ahead if the item is a steel tumbler or bottle — it isn't a listed specialty.
How much does custom engraving cost in Windsor?
Bring-your-own-item shops price per job, by material and size — call or ask with the item for a real number. On our side, engraving is included in the product price: a Grouse 16 oz tumbler is $35 engraved, a Robson 21 oz bottle is $40 engraved.
Can I order an engraved gift online in Canada?
Yes. We engrave names, dates, logos, and coordinates on steel tumblers, bottles, and mugs in our Calgary workshop and ship across Canada, Windsor included, in 1–3 business days.
By Chen Deng, founder of LAMOSE. We started at a mall kiosk in Edmonton in 2017, the same kind of counter Things Engraved ran, and now engrave every order in our Calgary workshop.
