Things Engraved ran two counters in Regina — Northgate Mall and Southland Mall. Both closed in January 2020, the same week the chain shut all 73 of its Canadian stores. Neither mall's current directory lists anything that replaced it.
So where does that leave someone in Regina who wants something engraved in 2026? Two different questions, two different answers: are you bringing in an item you already own, or are you buying a finished engraved gift?
The short answer.
Things Engraved closed both its Regina locations (Northgate Mall and Southland Mall) in January 2020. Skylevel Custom Engravings & Designs, a home-based laser engraver, handles engraving and personalization on items you bring in. For a finished engraved steel tumbler or bottle, order direct from a maker — we engrave to order in our Calgary workshop and ship to Regina in 1–3 business days, engraving included.
Your three options in Regina, compared
| Option | Best for | The catch |
|---|---|---|
| Home-based engraver (Skylevel Custom Engravings & Designs) | Keepsakes, gift items, engraving on items you bring in | Booked by appointment, not a walk-in mall counter — call or book online first |
| Trophy specialists (Barkers Trophies, Bazaar & Novelty) | Trophies, plaques, awards, medals | Trophy-specific equipment; won't touch a double-wall steel bottle |
| Order direct from a maker | Finished engraved steel tumblers, bottles, and mugs, shipped to your door | Not same-day: made to order, ships in 1–3 days |
If you're engraving something you already own
Skylevel Custom Engravings & Designs runs out of a home studio in Regina — online booking, curbside or in-store pickup, keepsakes and gift items engraved to order. It's a real, active local shop with a following on Facebook and Instagram, and it's the one Regina engraver that actually ranks for the search. Steel tumblers aren't the advertised specialty, so call or book with the exact item first — a laser calibrated for a photo frame or a cutting board isn't automatically set up for a vacuum-insulated bottle wall.
If you're buying an engraved gift
This is the hole the mall counters used to fill. Things Engraved sold the item and the engraving together — pick a flask, add a name, walk out with a finished gift. What's left in Regina is a home studio built around bring-your-own keepsakes, not a browse-and-buy shelf of finished tumblers and bottles.
We took the direct route instead. LAMOSE makes the tumblers and bottles ourselves and engraves every order in our Calgary workshop: the laser cuts through the powder coat into bare steel, so a name can't fade, peel, or wash off. Engraving is included, not an add-on. Your order is made when you place it and ships to Regina in 1–3 business days. 4.89 stars across 7,795 Etsy reviews.
Two places to start:
- Grouse 16 oz tumbler, $35. Double-wall 18/8 stainless steel, 6 hours hot, 12 hours cold, wide-mouth flip lid. The everyday cup people keep on their desk.
- Robson 21 oz bottle, $40. 12 hours hot, 24 hours cold, one-hand sport cap. Still cold on the walk across the Legislature grounds.
See the Grouse — or add a name, a date, or coordinates to any piece and it ships engraved.
What about bulk orders in Regina?
Regina sits around 263,500 people and is growing about 2.68% a year — the city itself is publicly planning for a population surge toward 370,000 by 2051. And Regina has been a steel town longer than most people realize: Evraz Regina Steel traces back to Prairie Pipe Manufacturing in 1956, later Ipsco, and still runs today with roughly 1,200 Saskatchewan employees. A city that's been making steel for 70 years understands a piece that's built to last — a welcome kit for a new hire's first week, a client thank-you that isn't forgettable, a team gift that survives the drive home. The workshop doesn't change, only the name on each piece does. Tell us about your project and we'll reply within one business day.
Frequently asked questions
Is Things Engraved still open in Regina?
No. Things Engraved closed both its Regina locations — Northgate Mall and Southland Mall — in January 2020, part of the chain's 73-store national shutdown.
Where can I get engraving done on an item I already own in Regina?
Skylevel Custom Engravings & Designs, a home-based laser engraver with online booking, handles engraving on items you bring in. Call ahead if the item is a steel tumbler or bottle — it isn't a listed specialty.
How much does custom engraving cost in Regina?
Bring-your-own-item shops price per job, by material and size — call or book with the item for a real number. On our side, engraving is included in the product price: a Grouse 16 oz tumbler is $35 engraved, a Robson 21 oz bottle is $40 engraved.
Can I order an engraved gift online in Canada?
Yes. We engrave names, dates, logos, and coordinates on steel tumblers, bottles, and mugs in our Calgary workshop and ship across Canada, Regina included, in 1–3 business days.
By Chen Deng, founder of LAMOSE. We started at a mall kiosk in Edmonton in 2017, the same kind of counter Things Engraved ran, and now engrave every order in our Calgary workshop.
