Things Engraved ran one counter in Saskatoon, at 201 1st Ave S downtown. It closed in January 2020, the same week the chain shut all 73 of its Canadian stores. The website still exists. The counter doesn't.

So where does that leave someone in Saskatoon who wants something engraved in 2026? It depends on whether you're bringing in an item you already own, or buying a finished engraved gift.

The short answer.

Things Engraved closed its Saskatoon location in January 2020. Stamp-On, a locally-owned shop with two counters (Centre Mall and Market Mall), handles engraving and photo gifts on items you bring in. For a finished engraved steel tumbler or bottle, order direct from a maker — we engrave to order in our Calgary workshop and ship to Saskatoon in 1–3 business days, engraving included.

Your three options in Saskatoon, compared

Option Best for The catch
Mall shop (Stamp-On, Centre Mall / Market Mall) Photo gifts, mugs, apparel, engraving on items you bring in A gift and print shop, not a maker of insulated steel tumblers — call first if that's what you need
Trophy specialists (Listowel Trophies) Trophies, plaques, awards, medals Trophy-specific equipment; won't touch a double-wall steel bottle
Order direct from a maker Finished engraved steel tumblers, bottles, and mugs, shipped to your door Not same-day: made to order, ships in 1–3 days

If you're engraving something you already own

Stamp-On runs two counters in Saskatoon — one inside Centre Mall on 8th Street East, one inside Market Mall on Preston Avenue South. They print and engrave on photo gifts, mugs, apparel, and small personal items brought in by customers. Steel tumblers aren't a listed specialty, so call ahead with the exact item before making the trip; a laser calibrated for a photo mug isn't automatically set up for a vacuum-insulated bottle wall.

If you're buying an engraved gift

This is the hole the mall counter used to fill. Things Engraved sold the item and the engraving together — pick a flask, add a name, walk out with a finished gift. What's left in Saskatoon is a mall counter built around photo gifts and print jobs, not a browse-and-buy shelf of finished tumblers and bottles.

We took the direct route instead. LAMOSE makes the tumblers and bottles ourselves and engraves every order in our Calgary workshop: the laser cuts through the powder coat into bare steel, so a name can't fade, peel, or wash off. Engraving is included, not an add-on. Your order is made when you place it and ships to Saskatoon in 1–3 business days. 4.89 stars across 7,794 Etsy reviews.

Two places to start:

  • Grouse 16 oz tumbler, $35. Double-wall 18/8 stainless steel, 6 hours hot, 12 hours cold, wide-mouth flip lid. The everyday cup people keep on their desk.
  • Robson 21 oz bottle, $40. 12 hours hot, 24 hours cold, one-hand sport cap. Still cold on the walk across campus.

See the Grouse — or add a name, a date, or coordinates to any piece and it ships engraved.

What about bulk orders in Saskatoon?

Saskatoon has grown fast: 266,141 at the 2021 census, an estimated 316,000 by 2026, with net migration driving most of that gain. The University of Saskatchewan alone accounts for 25,000+ students and is the city's second-largest employer at 6,647 faculty and staff — a steady stream of orientation weeks, grad cohorts, and new hires that a logo on a mug rarely survives. A welcome kit for a new employee's first week, a graduation gift for a program cohort, a client thank-you that isn't forgettable — the workshop doesn't change, only the name on each piece does. Tell us about your project and we'll reply within one business day.
