Why the flask loses
A flask is a gift for the wedding weekend. After that it needs an occasion, and most guys don't have one most weeks.
The gift that lasts is one he'd use anyway. Coffee on the drive in, water at the gym, soup on a camping trip. Pick that job first, then make it his with his name or the date in the steel.

What to engrave (skip "Groomsman")
"Groomsman" in block letters is the flask again: generic, and it stops meaning anything after the wedding. Engrave something only he gets.
- His name or initials. The baseline, and still better than a title.
- The wedding date. Ties it to the day without shouting about it.
- Coordinates. The rink, the dorm, the bar you still end up at.
- An inside joke. Short and specific. This is the one that gets a laugh when he opens it.

When to order
