The easiest way to ruin a holiday gift is to make it generic. A gift card says "I ran out of time." A LAMOSE piece with their name cut into the steel says the opposite — you picked this one, for them, on purpose.
Here are 8 real pieces from the current lineup, ranked by who they're actually for, with real prices and no filler.
The short answer.
The Grouse 16 oz ($35) is the safest gift for anyone on your list — an everyday desk tumbler nobody's disappointed to unwrap. For a bigger swing, the Emerald 16 oz ($40) is our only 316 stainless piece, one grade up from the rest of the lineup. Every piece here ships engraved with a name, date, or message, free, made to order in our Calgary workshop.
8 personalized gifts, ranked by who they're for
| Piece | Price | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Grouse 16 oz | $35 | The safe gift — everyday desk tumbler |
| Emerald 16 oz | $40 | The upgrade — 316 stainless, our top grade |
| Robson 21 oz | $40 | The outdoors sibling — sport cap, bigger capacity |
| Hudson 12 oz | $36 | The commuter — small enough for a bag pocket |
| Peyto 16 oz | $40 | The gift for someone who already has a tumbler |
| Louise 18 oz | $28 | The coffee-mug traditionalist |
| Moraine 27 oz | $30 | The all-day-hydration gift |
| Logan 16 oz | $27.50 | The budget pick that still feels considered |
For the person who's impossible to shop for
Give them the Grouse 16 oz ($35). Double-wall 18/8 stainless steel, wide-mouth flip lid, the size that fits every cup holder and every desk. Engrave a name or a date and it stops being "a tumbler" and starts being the one they keep.
If you want to spend a bit more, the Emerald 16 oz ($40) is the one piece in our lineup built from 316 stainless, the same grade used in marine hardware, one step up from the 18/8 the rest of the collection uses. It's the gift that reads as a genuine upgrade, not just a different color.
For the person who's always outside
The Robson 21 oz ($40) carries more and holds temperature longer than the everyday pieces, with a one-hand sport cap built for the trail, not the boardroom. It's the bottle for the sibling who's hiking before the rest of the family is awake.
For the person who lives out of a bag
The Hudson 12 oz ($36) is deliberately compact. It fits a backpack side pocket or a car door where a 16 oz piece won't. Good for the commuter, the student, or anyone whose gift needs to disappear into a bag rather than take it over.
For the person who already owns a LAMOSE
Repeat customers are real. Plenty of people come back for a second piece once they've engraved the first. The Peyto 16 oz ($40) is different enough in shape and finish to not feel redundant next to a Grouse or Hudson they already have.
For the coffee-mug traditionalist
Not everyone wants a bottle. The Louise 18 oz ($28) is built like a mug — a handle, a wider mouth, the shape people expect on a desk next to a keyboard. Engraved with initials, it's the gift that looks like it was chosen, not grabbed off an end-cap.
For all-day hydration and the budget-conscious
The Moraine 27 oz ($30) holds enough water to skip a midday refill, a good gift for anyone whose New Year resolution involves drinking more of it. The Logan 16 oz ($27.50) is our lowest-priced piece that still ships engraved, free, in the same Calgary workshop as everything else on this list: the gift for a big group where the budget per person is tight but the "personalized" part still has to be real.
How the engraving actually works
Every piece on this list ships engraved, not printed. The laser cuts through the powder coat into bare steel, so a name, date, or short message can't fade, peel, or wash off in the dishwasher. Engraving is included in the price above, not an add-on. Each order is made when you place it, not pulled from stock sitting in a warehouse.
Ordering more than a few? Corporate holiday gifts and team orders are quoted per project, with every piece able to carry a different name.
Frequently asked questions
What's the safest personalized gift if I don't know their taste?
The Grouse 16 oz. It's our most balanced size and shape, and an engraved name works whether the person is minimalist or not. Nobody unwraps a $35 steel tumbler with their name on it and feels let down.
What's the difference between the Emerald and the rest of the lineup?
The Emerald is built from 316 stainless steel, a grade up from the 18/8 stainless the other pieces use. Every other spec, including insulation, lid options, and engraving, works the same way.
How long does engraving take before the holidays?
Each piece is made to order in our Calgary workshop and ships in 1–3 business days after you place the order. Order with enough lead time for shipping on top of that if you're gifting by a specific date.
Can I order the same piece for a whole team or family, each with a different name?
Yes. Individual orders work through the site; for 10 or more pieces, tell us about the project and we'll quote it directly.
By Chen Deng, founder of LAMOSE. We engrave every order in our Calgary workshop, one piece or five hundred.
