Why a logo isn't a gift
A tumbler with the company logo is a uniform. A tumbler with someone's name on it is a gift. The product is the same. What changes is whether the person holding it sees themselves or sees the company.
HR teams often pick one shared design because it's simpler to order. It is simpler. It's also the version that gets left behind when someone changes jobs. A name goes home with them.

On tax: the CRA lets an employer give "an unlimited number of non-cash gifts or awards with a combined total fair market value of $500 or less (including taxes) in the year." How to order 25 different names without a mess
The engraving is the easy part. The list is where team orders go wrong.
- Get the names from payroll, not memory. People go by names that aren't on the org chart. Ask each person how they want it spelled if you're unsure.
- Send us the list. We send a free digital proof within 24 hours. Read every name on it. A typo on the proof is a typo in steel.
- Pick how it ships. We can ship each gift on its own with your note in the box, which works for remote teams, or send the whole run to one address for you to hand out.
- Order by the date. Runs of 25 or more by Friday, November 20. Smaller personalized orders by Friday, December 11. Those dates come from real production time: a proof within 24 hours, then 1 to 3 business days on the laser (5 to 10 for custom bulk artwork), then the carrier.

Yes. Each piece is engraved on its own, so every one can carry a different name, initials or short message. Send the list and check each name on the free proof.
Is there a minimum order for a company holiday gift?
No. One engraved piece is a normal order. The buy-more discount starts at 2 pieces and reaches 45% off at 10 or more.
Can you engrave a team photo on a tumbler?
Yes, as a laser-engraved photo in one tone, listed at $10 a piece on our holiday page. Faces in a big group shot come out small on a cup, so we'd still put names first.
When should I order team Christmas gifts?
Order runs of 25 or more by Friday, November 20, 2026, and smaller personalized orders by Friday, December 11. December carriers are the slow part, so earlier is safer.
Is a holiday gift to employees taxable in Canada?
Not if it's a non-cash gift and the employee's gifts and awards stay at $500 or less for the year, including taxes, under the CRA's policy. Cash and prepaid cards are always taxable.
