Laser Engraving. UV Full-Color Printing. Both In-House.

Imagine standing atop a peak in the Alberta Rockies, the vast expanse of lakes, mountains, and seas unfolding before you. That's where Chen, our co-founder and engineer, found his inspiration. An avid hiker and coffee lover, he was captivated by Canada's natural beauty and driven by a passion to protect it.

Like you, Chen wanted products that were not only high-quality and practical but also meaningful and personal. He noticed that while many items could be personalized, they often lacked the durability and everyday functionality people need. He believed that combining exceptional products with personal stories could create something truly special.

How it all started

2017

A Laser, a Kiosk, and People Walking By

In 2017, Chen bought a laser engraver and set it up in a mall kiosk in West Edmonton Mall. No investors. No partners. Just a machine that could cut names into steel, and the belief that if he made something good enough, people walking by would stop. They stopped — because when you watch a laser trace someone's name into a tumbler, right there in front of you, you understand this is different. Every LAMOSE product is named after a Canadian Rocky Mountain landmark: Peyto, Robson, Moraine, Cascade, Emerald — because we make things in the shadow of them.

2019

From Kiosk to Workshop

By 2019, LAMOSE had outgrown the mall. Holiday pop-ups at Edmonton City Centre and Kingsway Mall proved the demand was real — people wanted gifts with their name on them, not another generic tumbler. The kiosk became a workshop. The single laser became the foundation of something bigger.

2020

Calgary Workshop, Both Machines

Chen moved operations to a real workshop in Calgary and invested in a commercial UV printer — because some stories need color, and a laser only speaks in monochrome. Now LAMOSE could engrave names with permanent precision and wrap entire brand identities in full-color around a tumbler. Two machines, one workshop, both in-house. Cafes started calling. Then hotels. Then corporations.

2026

The Cup People Keep

Today, LAMOSE has 1,035+ listings on Etsy at 4.9 stars from 7,577 reviews. We serve cafes, hotels, and corporations across Canada with full-wrap UV storytelling tumblers — and we still make one-of-a-kind engraved gifts for the person who wants their mom's name in the steel. The same workshop. The same precision. The same care, whether it's one piece or five hundred. That's the whole point: we make the cup people keep.

This is my second time purchasing an engraved picture cup over the years and never disappoints! The first cup we ordered years ago for my father with a picture of him and my daughter that he uses almost daily since and is still in great condition but we ordered a new one with an updated picture of both his granddaughters.
