Your Coffee Is Good. Your Cup Is Ruining It.

You spend $25 on a bag of single-origin beans. You grind them fresh. You pour with intention.

Then you drink it from stainless steel — and somewhere between the first sip and the last, you're tasting the cup.

That faint metallic edge that doesn't belong there. Coffee is too good for that.

Run Your Tongue Across the First Sip. That's Coffee.

The enamel interior creates a smooth, taste-neutral barrier between your coffee and the steel. No ions leaching. No iron reacting with acidity. Just the flavor the roaster put there.

This is why specialty coffee shops use ceramic. It's why tea ceremonies use porcelain. The material touching your drink matters.

The Peyto Pro Enamel gives you that purity — in a tumbler that keeps your coffee hot for 6 hours.

"I've owned four tumblers. Every single one had that faint metallic taste. I bought the Peyto Pro Enamel on a whim and the first sip stopped me. I could actually taste my coffee — just coffee. Sounds small. It's not."

— Marcus T., Vancouver

Traditional Enamel Goes Cold in 20 Minutes. This One Doesn't.

Classic enamel camping mugs are beautiful. They're also single-wall — your coffee is room temperature before you finish the first cup.

The Peyto Pro Enamel is different. The enamel is on the inside. The outside is double-wall vacuum-insulated stainless steel — the same technology that keeps YETI cold for 24 hours.

Hot for 6 hours. Cold for 12. The two things that were never supposed to exist in the same tumbler, now in one.

The One That Belongs on Your Desk. And at the Campfire. Same Cup.

Snow for the minimalist. Onyx for the one whose desk is always clean. Ruby Red for the person who brings energy into the room.

Kiln-fired glass catches the light differently than powder coat. It has depth. Warmth. The kind of surface people notice and ask about.

Three colors — not because we ran out of ideas, but because these are the three that look right everywhere: boardroom, trail, kitchen counter, 6 AM.

"Bought the Snow for my wife with her name engraved. She collects ceramic mugs and was skeptical about a 'tumbler.' She uses this every single day. She said it's the first travel cup that actually feels like a proper mug."

— Daniel R., Calgary

A Name. A Date. A Message. Engraved Into Steel.

Not printed. Not a label. Laser-engraved in our Calgary workshop — cut directly into the stainless steel so you can feel every letter with your fingertip.

The Peyto Pro Enamel is one of our most gifted products. Coffee lovers, new parents, teachers wrapping up a school year, couples who met over a pour-over.

Pick their color. Add their name. We'll do the rest — and it arrives looking like you spent three times more than you did.

What You're Settling For with Every Other Tumbler

"There's a metallic aftertaste no matter what I do." — stainless steel tumbler, Amazon review

"My enamel mug looks gorgeous but the coffee is cold before I finish." — traditional enamel camp mug

"Lid traps water and started growing something." — popular tumbler brand, Reddit

"Clear coat started peeling after 6 months." — well-known outdoor brand

These aren't edge cases. They're the pattern. The Peyto Pro Enamel was built specifically because both problems existed and neither had a good answer.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is kiln-fired vitreous enamel, and why does it matter?

Kiln-fired vitreous enamel is powdered glass fused to the steel at over 800°C — the same process Le Creuset and Staub use on their cookware. Unlike bare stainless, enamel is chemically inert: it doesn't react with acidic drinks like coffee or tea. No metallic aftertaste. You taste exactly what you poured. It's the same reason specialty coffee shops use ceramic and tea ceremonies use porcelain. The Peyto Pro Enamel brings that same purity to an insulated tumbler.

How long does it stay hot compared to a regular enamel mug?

Traditional enamel camping mugs are single-wall — they lose heat as fast as any ceramic or porcelain mug (typically 20–30 minutes). The Peyto Pro Enamel is double-wall vacuum insulated, so it keeps drinks hot for 6 hours and cold for 12 hours. The enamel is fused to the steel; the double-wall vacuum insulation wraps around it. You get both.

Will the enamel chip or scratch?

Kiln-fired vitreous enamel is durable — it's glass, bonded to the steel at 800°C. For daily coffee use (pouring, drinking, hand washing) it holds up well. Avoid abrasive scrubbers and banging metal utensils against it. If you're comparing this to traditional enamel camp mugs that chip on rocks, it's a different category: the steel body takes the structural impact, not the finish. f old-style enamelware doesn't apply here.

Is it dishwasher safe?

Hand wash to keep the vitreous enamel surface at its best. A soft sponge and mild dish soap is all it needs — the enamel is non-porous and doesn't hold residue. The laser engraving is cut into the steel itself, so washing doesn't touch it.

How does the free engraving work?

Add your engraving details during checkout using the engraving options above. Your name, initials, date, or short message — laser-engraved directly into the stainless steel. It's permanent, won't fade or peel, and is completely free with every tumbler. Every engraving is inspected by our team in Calgary before shipping.

Is this a good gift for a coffee lover?

It's one of our best. Coffee enthusiasts who care about flavor immediately understand what kiln-fired enamel means — it's not a gimmick, it's the same glass-on-steel principle behind premium cookware. Pick their color (Snow, Onyx, or Ruby Red), add their name or a meaningful message for free, and you have a gift that signals you actually listened. It arrives looking like you spent considerably more than $50.

How does this compare to a Fellow or ceramic-interior tumbler?

Fellow and similar brands offer ceramic-coated interiors at premium price points ($60–$90 USD). The Peyto Pro Enamel offers a similar taste-neutral interior at $50 CAD with the addition of free laser engraving and a lifetime warranty. The key differences: we engrave in-house in Calgary, back it with a no-questions lifetime warranty, and it's made with 18/8 stainless steel construction throughout.

What if it breaks or the coating fails?

Lifetime warranty. If anything goes wrong with the materials or craftsmanship — including the vitreous enamel — we replace it. No receipt required, no time limit. Email us at hello@lamose.com and we'll ship a replacement.
